Psychotherapy and counselling is a process whereby through regular sessions, we are able to think together, explore, and understand your difficulties. This process will allow you to gain a different perspective on troubling aspects of your life and better enable you to make changes.
I have experience of working as a therapist for 17 years in the voluntary and private sectors including my own practice. I have also worked as a Senior Therapist, and for 5 years as the Clinical Manager of a residential facility treating people recovering from chemical dependency.
We will have an initial meeting where we will discuss and think about your needs. If you feel that the kind of therapy I offer might be helpful for you, we will arrange to meet weekly at a mutually agreeable time.
I trained at the Manor House Centre which is a BACP accredited training institution. I have a Post Graduate and, Advanced Post Graduate Diploma in Psychodynamic therapy. I also have an MA from the Tavistock and
Portman NHS Trust in Psychoanalytic and Systemic approaches to working with individuals and organisations.
I am a member of, and accredited by BACP and am registered with UKRCP.
I abide by a strict code of ethics whereby confidentiality is central to the work. I have regular clinical supervision and, continuing professional development training. I have comprehensive professional indemnity insurance.
